More than half of Russians are tired of waiting for President Vladimir Putin to improve life in the country. This is indicated by the data of the last poll of the Levada Center published today.

The number of tired people waiting for positive changes in Russians over the past six months increased by 10 percentage points. At the same time, one in six respondents answered "definitely yes" to the question about fatigue from expectations, another third agreed with the answer "rather yes".

However, the current figure is not a record - four years ago, sociologists remind, similar answers to this question were given by almost two thirds of Russians, but a year ago this share was much less than half. The lowest level of Putin's disappointment in Russia was in March 2000 - that is, just before his first election.

Meanwhile, in the latest survey, four out of ten respondents agreed that Putin is guilty of abuse of power. However, almost a quarter said that even if these accusations are true, the fact that under Putin the country began to live better is more important.

Among the successes of the president, Russians called the increase of the fighting capacity of the army and the strengthening of Russia's international positions. The least successful were the fight against corruption and improving the standard of living.

At the same time, Putin is still the most popular and trustworthy politicians in the country - the previous survey of Levada Center showed that 52% of respondents think so. The second in this rating with more than a two-time lag from the president was Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
