Ukrainian ballerina Ekaterina Kukhar told how she maintains physical shape at 44 years old and what rules she follows in nutrition. The artist admitted that even in the absence of regular performances she does not allow herself to relax, because the body, according to her, requires constant discipline.
As Kukhar reminds in an interview with TiKiyiv media, the form is not saved automatically - regardless of whether there are performances or not.
" The form does not hold up on its own, whether there are regular performances or not.. Everything takes effort,"
The ballerina noted that in her case we are talking about almost daily training, a strict regimen and forced intermittent fasting. The diet contains the simplest possible products.
" And, of course, nerves, no matter how banal it may sound.. But ballet taught me the main thing: the body is a responsibility.. And if you negotiate with it honestly, it reciprocates. I definitely never drink carbonated sweet water; mayonnaise is also taboo for me,” the artist emphasized.
In addition to nutrition and sports, Kuhar pays attention to daily rituals and mental balance. She is convinced that appearance directly depends on the internal state.
" Sound healing (sound therapy. – Ed. ), sun, aromatherapy, massages, development in different directions. Daily beauty rituals - such as ice cubes for the face. Good friends and being in love give positive emotions. Sometimes - a glass of red wine - by the way, it contains enough antioxidants. In the end, it all comes down to one thing: internal balance is always visible from the outside,” shared the ballerina.
In particular, Kuhar shared how she feels about her age. According to her, the older you get, the more you begin to enjoy life.
" The numbers are, of course, growing, but along with them the taste for life is growing.. If you are friends with yourself and don’t do anything stupid against your own body and soul, each new stage gives its own bonuses. So that's it - I'm 44. And it seems that this is exactly the age when you already understand everything, but you can still do everything,” she concluded.
