27-year-old Ukrainian singer BRYKULETS (Ivan Ishchenko), known for the hits “Posilat”, “Liza”, “Stop”, got a job at a school. According to the musician, working with children is not a random experiment for him. The artist explained in a commentary to Lux FM why he decided to combine a musical career with teaching and what exactly he does with students. He has the appropriate education and consciously went into the school environment in order to pass on practical experience of creating music to teenagers and find inspiration for himself in communicating with the younger generation.
For Ishchenko, this is an experience that can be expressed in music, and this is exactly the attitude he gives to children: “I advise you just not to lie, but to live an interesting life.”. Don’t invent anything in your creativity, but live in such a way that they write, feel and not be shy."
BRYKULETS said that he teaches in grades eight through eleven and teaches children to write songs. The artist admits that it is his students who often become a source of new ideas for him..
" And children always bring something new and you can take inspiration from them. They are young, they are normal, they are abnormal. They are not afraid of anything and I want them not to be afraid of anything,” the artist shared.
Speaking about his teaching style, the musician noted that he does not adhere to a strict teacher-student hierarchy. According to him, he builds communication with children on equal terms and does not position himself as a strict teacher.
" I'm on the same level with them, more or less. We don’t have any subordination,” explained BRYKULETS.
The artist does not hide the fact that children actively react to his presence at school.
This is especially noticeable among the younger classes, who are waiting for him under his classrooms, asking for photographs, autographs or making joint videos..
Let us note that BRYKULETS is a Ukrainian singer who began his musical career back in 2017, but a wide audience began listening to him only in 2024–2025. His songs on streaming platforms collect millions of plays. In 2025, he participated in the National selection for Eurovision, but was not included in the shortlist.
