The reason for this - the statements of the actor about the situation around Harvey Weinstein.

In October of this year, Damon confessed that he had known for a long time about the sexual crimes of the producer, including harassment of Gwyneth Paltrow, but he considered all these actions the personal life of Weinstein and did not want to interfere.

The petition states that Matt's appearance on the screen will demonstrate a lack of responsibility for sexual harassment in the workplace that four out of ten American women regularly experience.
