On Tuesday, July 16, at the Odessa International Film Festival there was a special screening of the new dramatic series “Likarka for Calling” from “1+1 Ukraine”, based on the life story of “Okhmatdyt” in the first 50 days of a full-scale invasion. During the event, the creators of the series shared that filming partially took place in the destroyed hospital building, which was hit by a Russian missile on July 8. Among the first viewers of the series are Okhmatdyt doctors who were involved in the work on the project: the general director of the clinic Vladimir Zhovnir with his 3-year-old daughter, the head of the intensive care unit Natalya Karpenko, anesthesiologist Anna Machuzhak, pediatric surgery intern Alena Govorova. Actors of the series: Victoria Litvinenko, Alexander Pecheritsa, Vladimir Zaets, Ivan Zhidkov.
The idea to create a series about an indestructible spirit and hope, which always finds a place even in the most difficult moments of life, came from the producer of the Bank of Ideas production Natalya Yakovleva after a conversation with the general director of Okhmatdyt Vladimir Zhovnir.
" When you listen to this and think, is this really possible, this is something that is impossible to imagine. And for them this is not a feat, but an ordinary routine. And it was their perseverance, courage, and inflexibility that inspired us to create the series,” shared Natalya Yakovleva.
A new story on " Doctors from Okhmatdyt were involved in working on the script so that the medical cases were conveyed correctly. Also, during the filming of medical procedures, a consultant worked on the set.. After watching the first two episodes, the doctors noted that the film crew managed to show the realities of life for doctors. The series successfully depicts not only professional challenges and difficulties, but also the daily life of doctors outside the hospital.
" Especially the work of doctors in extreme situations. The idea for the series is great. Very few projects actually transfer the work of doctors. Not all people distinguish between medical professions. For example, most people know who a surgeon is, but very few people know who an anesthesiologist or resuscitator is.. Thank you for the series, which really shows our work,” Natalya Karpenko, head of the intensive care unit, shared her impressions after watching it..
Let us recall that according to the plot, a talented resuscitator Marina Bondar finds herself on the verge of divorce from her husband and colleague, surgeon Andrei Bondar, after betrayal. Marina is going to accept a job offer in Poland and move her family there to start life from scratch. However, the very next morning she wakes up from explosions and decides to stay in her native hospital, which switches to 24/7 operation and becomes a saving fortress for many small and adult patients. Despite their exhaustion, confusion, family dramas, medicine shortages and internal hospital problems, doctors remain professional and tirelessly save lives..
The main roles will be played by famous Ukrainian spouses - Victoria Litvinenko and Sergei Strelnikov. Although the actors’ filmography includes many joint projects, it was the series for “1+1 Ukraine” that became the first in which they will play a married couple.
The soundtrack to the TV series “Likarka za klikannyam” was a song by one of the most popular Ukrainian groups “Boombox” - “People”. The premiere of the new dramatic story will take place in the fall on “1+1 Ukraine”.
