16-year-old Vladislav Pelykh captivated the coaches of “Voice of the Country-13” with his emotional performance. Now the young man lives in Poland. Vladislav was forced to leave Ukraine, because his hometown of Pologi was occupied by the Russian military. It was difficult for a musician to adapt in Poland, because he did not have the opportunity to study music. However, as Vladislav says, thanks to the support of the Poles, he adapted to new conditions. So, with his performance at “Voice of the Country-13”, Pelykh wants to thank Poland for helping Ukraine.
" My city has been occupied for more than a year. Now I am in the city of Gdansk. At first it was very difficult to recover. There was a lack of music during this period.. I came from the occupation to Poland without musical instruments. Thanks to the support of the Poles, it was much easier to adapt. I now have a responsibility because I am realizing my dream and have the opportunity to thank Poland for its help,” said Vladislav.
The project participant performed a track by Ukrainian singer Jerry Heil and Polish artist Krystian Ochman – Bronia (Zbroya). The coaches were stunned by Vladislav's emotional performance and everyone pressed the red button. The 16-year-old boy especially touched Artem Pivovarov, who could not hold back his tears and burst into tears. The fact is that the coach’s hometown was also under occupation for a long time, and his relatives could not leave.
" For the fact that you represent a new galaxy of the younger generation, the conscious generation of the new Ukraine.
Your story really hurts me. My parents, too, were under occupation for a very long time, my house continues to be bombed every day. We are here today to bring our culture, identity, roots, heritage to the world and talk about Ukraine. Thank you for being 16 years old and speaking so boldly, sincerely and courageously about Ukraine,” Pivovarov noted.. All coaches turned their chairs to the participant. Vladislav himself chose the team of coach Yulia Sanina. Watch "
