Ukrainian poet Sergei Zhadan is on a charity tour of US cities. Zhadan went on a two-week creative tour of " On Sunday, the musician held a poetry evening in New York, at the People's House in Manhattan, where he gathered hundreds of spectators. The poet read poems from old and new collections, in particular from a cycle of poems about modern warfare, and called for support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the charity auction, the combat banners of the " The total amount of funds raised from the first two performances amounted to more than 10 thousand. dollars.

Also, in one of the clubs in New York, Zhadan performed on the same stage with the leader of the Gogol Bordelo group Evgeny Gudz and announced the creation of a joint song together.

It should be noted that on March 10-19 at the La MaMa theater the premiere of the musical " It was believed that the music and words of this work were lost, but, as the head of the Yara art group, director of the production, Virlyana Tkach, explained, eight years ago she found the score in the Kharkov archive.

The poetry for the modern version of the musical was written by Zhadan, the music was written by the American composer Anthony Colman. Recall that earlier Sergey Zhadan recorded a video message from New York, in which he commented on the new orders of the Ministry of Culture and Digital Transformation after the escape of stand-up artist Andrey Schegel abroad. Zhadan emphasized that it is very important to release artists abroad, because abroad they have the opportunity to raise money in support of the army and Ukrainians who suffered during a full-scale war.
