On Monday, May 15, a new 16-episode adventurous melodrama by Kapitonsha starts on the Ukrainian television channel, in which the famous Ukrainian actor Nikolai Boklan played. In an exclusive TV interview. UA actor told about the first award, his role in the melodrama of Captain and much more.

Nikolay, you recently received the First National Film Prize "Zolota dziґa" for your role in the film "Pride of the Throat". Share emotions, what you felt while standing on stage.

Naturally, I was delighted. I confess that I was a little ready to get "Zi Золоu Gold", but I did not tell anyone about it, I was afraid to jinx it. We shot this film for a long time, we invested a lot in it, sometimes it was not easy in creative terms, but everything turned out for us. And I am very pleased that my colleagues supported my candidacy, and Natalia Vasko, and Rimma Zyubina, and Vitaly Linetsky, who left us, each in his nominations.

Is this your first award?.

In the cinema, I did not have such a reward, especially this level. This is my first nomination, in fact.

Where did they put the dzyu?.

In his wife's room. It stands in a place of honor.

Tell us about your hero in the new series "The Captain". Who is this person?.

Dmitry is a friend of the deceased parents of the main heroine Sasha. My hero and his wife wanted to take her up, but since she had direct relatives, they did not succeed in this. Only then, with time, they had the opportunity to take an active part in her life.

You know, this character is interesting for his attitude towards a child of a friend. He does good, right deeds. With his wife Liza they then take the kid from the orphanage, and according to the plot it turns out that this is the child of the main heroine Alexandra.

You graduated from the Kyiv State Institute of Theatrical Art named after Karpenko-Kary in 1988. Strictly speaking, then they taught exactly the profession of a theatrical actor. And how did you manage to learn acting in cinema?.

I remember my acquaintance with my first cameraman: I introduce myself to him, and they immediately put me in the sand, in the rocks, behind the machine gun and put in front of me a camera. It was Sergei Bordenyuk in the film "Two Steps to Silence" of 1990. That's how I learned acting in the cinema. But Sergei Bordenyuk, of course, a professional and with him very easy and comfortable to work on the site. Strictly speaking, he also filmed the series "The Captain".

With the director of "Captain" Vladimir Yanoshchuk, I also worked not for the first time. He was the director of the project "Spirit of the Earth", in which I was shooting, this is one of the first Ukrainian series. These people are real masters of their craft. With them on the court, I learned the profession of a film actor.

Another example is the film "A few love stories". There I was lucky to work in one frame with George Vitsin. He really had something to learn.

You, in addition to cinema, work in the theater of drama and comedy on the Left bank of the Dnieper.

Aldeady no. I worked in this theater for 20 years, and before that 10 years in the Young Theater.

What was your first acquaintance with the theater of drama and comedy?.

It was in the distant 1987, and me, a student of the 4th year, together with fellow students were invited to the play "Optimistic tragedy", where we played brave sailors. Over time, I went to work at the Young Theater. Although at that time there was such a state policy, such an implicit order that artists go not to theaters, but to theater studios.

Why did you leave the theater?.

I did not leave. I did not agree with the new law, according to which the theater becomes serf. It says that everyone needs to move to a contract system, and if you do not agree - you just lustrate. If the contract is signed, the actors in the theater are deprived of all rights. Imagine, a student who has not been on the stage for a single day, and a person who has played for 30 years signs the same type, standard contracts.

And if the director of the theater, for example, does not like the color of your eyes, you can not take. And no one will protect you in this case. I honestly worked in the theater for 30 years, and I was expelled to the street even without a severance pay. But I am now suing, because I believe that this law has nothing to do with me.

And how much time do you no longer play in the theater?.

Since February 23 this year. People who came up with this law say that artists do nothing and earn a lot. I've worked honestly all my life. And I honestly paid taxes all the time. I was simultaneously engaged in dubbing. Here, for example, I voiced the donkey from "Shrek". This is also part of my job, my favorite profession.

Are you still engaged in dubbing? What is your last job?.

Here just recently I dubbed the most important monkey, the main character in the "Planet of the Apes".

Do you manage to combine all kinds of work?.

Of course. You know, it's generally like a law of some kind: a sea of ??proposals at once, a lot of work, then nothing at all, a deaf, stiff emptiness. And only it passes, in an instant there is a huge number of projects.

How did you get out of situations when there was no work and no income?.

Even in a very difficult time for Ukrainian cinema, when "Dovzhenko" was shot by 1-2 films a year, I participated in them. Never changed his profession and earned nothing. My wife also worked for me, danced in the opera house, often went abroad. You understand, our artists are not accustomed to immediately spend their fees, they put them a penny to a penny and brought here. Therefore, somehow twisted.

What did they spend money on here?.

To life, like all people. For example, to buy an apartment, which is very difficult. They say that artists can easily afford to buy a home, it's not true.. So I sold two apartments - one parent, and the second, which was received from the state, and for the money I bought, I bought one more apartment.

Do you have experience in advertising, tell us about it.

The biggest project is advertising for the song "I'm going to dodo", a big one, because we shot it for quite a long time in different parts of Ukraine: in Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporozhye and Kiev. In total, the shooting took about 9 days.

And now you are shooting in advertising?.

No, I have not taken off for a long time. I think that as a little older, I will grow a beard and then, probably, I will try myself in a similar. We somehow very much like the bearded men to shoot (laughs). I, by the way, recently played a priest in the project "The Tale of Groshi", so my beard goes to me.

Your brother is also an actor, have you acted together?.

Just the other day we were filming together in one sitcom, brothers - Gen and Grisha played.

How do you like to spend your free time?.

In my spare time I like to fish, to get to the Dnieper with my friends, my cousins.

Maybe you have a summer residence?.

No, I could not make money at the dacha. It would be desirable, of course, to have a hut on the Dnieper, a cherry orchard, and just now the crunch is flying.

Never thought to move out of a big city?.

Of course, this is the dream of any normal Ukrainian - to leave the big city. And over the years this feeling is intensifying. Often I want some kind of solitude. I receive it, just leaving somewhere on the Dnieper.

Tell us in what other projects will we see you soon?.

Now I'm busy in the project "Spetsy", which is directed by Oleg Maslennikov, in "The City of Lovers" Anton Goyda will be the mayor. And the other day he played a banker in the series "Queen Margot". All these pictures will appear on the TV channel "Ukraine".

After the death of the parents, custody of a girl from a wealthy family by Alexandra is made up by her uncle and his wife, whose real purpose is to get rich at the expense of the legacy of an orphaned niece. A girl dreams of studying at an art college, but her plans negate her acquaintance with the captain of the sea ship Leonid, who is trying to recover from the scandalous divorce. This meeting will be a fateful for Alexandra - it is waiting for the sea and long voyages, losses and bitter disappointments.
