American director Brian de Palma, whose most famous paintings - "Scarface" and "Carrie", talked about plans to make a horror film based on the scandal with Harvey Weinstein's harassment. A lot of details about the new project de Palma has not yet disclosed and described the future tape only in general terms, writes Vanity Fair.

"Now I'm working on a script about this story and working with one French producer," says the director.. - My character's name is different - not Weinstein. It will be horror about a sex maniac, where the plot is built around events in the film industry. I have been very closely following the history that has unfolded in Hollywood in recent months, and I know many people involved in it well ".

The scandal around Harvey Weinstein flared up in October last year, when several actresses and subordinate producers brought charges against him. Since then, about the harassment of Weinstein was told about 50 women. At the end of May, the producer was arrested and taken to court: the defendant refused to plead guilty and was released on bail of $ 1 million. At the time of the investigation, Weinstein pledged to walk with an electronic bracelet and not leave the state of New York and neighboring Connecticut.
