The website of the First Channel reports that Anna Kurbatova, the journalist of the First Channel, sent from Ukraine, is safe, she will return to Moscow on Thursday evening.

The message says: "Correspondent of Channel One Anna Kurbatov, who was kidnapped in Kiev on the eve, is safe and will soon return home, in the evening we will meet her at the editorial office of".

As it became known, on the evening of August 30 the journalist was expelled from the territory of Ukraine with an entry ban for three years and was at the border crossing point "New Yurkovichi" in the Bryansk region.

Earlier on Wednesday, Russian television channels reported the abduction in Kiev of the special correspondent of Channel One Anna Kurbatova.

However, it later became known that she was detained by the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, because, according to them, Kurbatova's stories allegedly "harmed the national interests".

It is known that on the eve of the detention Kurbatov prepared a report about the persecution of journalists in the country, and a few days before, the First Channel published her story about the military parade on Independence Day. In it, the journalist called the parade a "march of dependence", and the date - "a sad holiday". In her opinion, Kiev returned "in the dashing 1990s," and Ukraine "is completely dependent on America and Europe".
