RT reports that in Japan, a lawsuit was launched against three former managers of the operator of the nuclear power plant Fukushima-1, the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO).

It is reported that before the court appeared the former chairman of the Board of Directors of TEPCO Tsunehisa Katsumata and two vice-president of the company - Ichiro Takeshuro and Sakae Muto. The court is to determine to what extent the leaders are criminally responsible for the accident at the nuclear power plant in 2011.

It is necessary to find out whether the tragedy has occurred because of the human factor, or rather - the management's unfair attitude towards the security requirements. It is specified that Katsumata, Takekuro and Muto are accused of "professional negligence", which caused damage and loss of life.

Recall, the strongest earthquake with a magnitude of up to 9.1 happened in Japan on March 11, 2011.

The push triggered a powerful tsunami that covered a vast territory. Victims of the disaster are about 16 thousand people, the fate of thousands is still unknown.

Under the impact was the nuclear power plant "Fukushima-1" - there was an accident, which caused the melting of the core of the reactors. Of the areas around the station, more than 320,000 people were evacuated. According to experts, 40 years will be required to completely eliminate the consequences of the accident.
