On the afternoon of Monday, October 5, a Russian drone struck a multi-story residential building in Berdichev, said the head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration Vitaly Bunechko.
He said that as a result of the strike, apartments from the 4th to 9th floors were damaged..
“The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Zhytomyr region sent 17 units of equipment and 65 rescuers to extinguish the fire.. The fire was quickly localized and prevented from spreading,” added the head of the OVA.
At the same time, he did not say whether there were any casualties as a result of this attack, noting that this information is currently being clarified.
Rescuers, doctors, psychologists and special services are still working at the scene of the attack..
The mayor of Berdichev, Sergei Orlyuk, in a comment to Suspilny, said that as a result of a drone attack, a fire occurred in one of the apartments, which spread to balconies on several floors of the building.
According to him, there were no dead or injured.
