Leeds United announced the transfer of central manager Niko Elvedi. The 29-year-old Swiss moved to the English club on a permanent basis from Borussia Monchengladbach.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the transfer amount is 10 million euros. Also, the German club takes away 15% from the upcoming sale of a football player. Elveda's contract with Leeds extends until summer 2029.
Elvedi has significant evidence of his appearances with the Bundeslisa - having represented Borussia Monchengladbach since 2015 and during this time he played 364 matches for the team, scoring 19 goals and providing 10 assists.
In the 2025/26 season, the champion played 36 matches in all tournaments, scoring two goals and two assists. At the international level, Elved has played 73 matches for the Swiss national team.
