Manchester United are continuing the search for a new defensive midfielder and have earned their first salary until the possible signing of midfielder Romy Manu Kone. Insider Fabrizio Romano reported this.
According to Dzherel, representatives of the English club have already held initial negotiations with the agents of the French footballer in the remaining days. At the moment, Kone is deprived of one of the candidates for strengthening the middle line, and the remaining decision for the transfer has not yet been approved.
Following the summer signings of Andrei Santos and Yuri Tielemans, Manchester United have no plans to ask for another player in the center of the field. The club is looking for a physically demanding support player who can strengthen the team before the start of the new season.
It was previously reported that after Ederson's transfer from Atalanti, the Mancunians changed their transfer priorities. Among the top alternatives to the Brazilian were Manu Kone himself, as well as Wolverhampton's struggling player Juan Gomez.
Negotiations are currently in the early stages, and Manchester United's shortlist will lose other candidates for the position of holding midfielder.
