UEFA on its official website voted for the refereeing team to officiate the match of the opening round of the Europa League qualification between the Romanian University of Cluj and Kiev.

The Welshman Ivan Oruel was appointed as the referee, who will be assisted by Jonathan Bryant and Harry Hendrix.

The leader in charge of the VAR system is the Dutchman Jorun Manschot, assisted by Erwin Blank.

Until now, the 38-river Welsh have not teamed up with Ukrainian clubs, but officiated two matches of the Ukraine U-17 national team against Poland (2:3) and Kosovo (2:0) in 2022.

Guess what, the match between the University of Cluj and Dynamo Kiev will take place on Thursday, 16 June, at 20:30. The first game recorded a zero.
