National team director Yonatan Ta commented on the missed goal in the 1/16 World Cup 2026 final match against Paraguay, after the Germans forfeited the tournament.
At the 102nd goal, the ball was scored, but after a VAR review, the referee scored a goal through a foul by Waldemar Anton on the opponent's goalkeeper. The match ended in a 1:1 draw, and in the penalty shootout Paraguay came out on top - 4:3.
“For me, this is clearly not a foul, and, frankly, I don’t understand the referee’s decision. Ale mi vyvinni yogo accept, although I especially don’t respect this destruction,” said Ta.
The same football player expressed disappointment due to the pre-line completion of appearances in the tournament.
" It’s a shame for us, because we wanted to bring joy to Germany, but we couldn’t get it.
It hurts us more and covers us, but it’s our fault to crumble further, work easier and continue to progress,” quotes the manager of Mundo Deportivo.
