Some citizens of Ukraine receive certain benefits and social payments. Thus, recipients of benefits must promptly update their data in the Register of Persons Eligible for Benefits. The Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) in the Transcarpathian region told in what cases it is necessary to submit an application for amendments to the Register.

The PFU explained that if any data entered into the Register changes and requires updating, the beneficiary (or his legal representative, or a capable adult family member to whom the benefits apply) is obliged to notify the Fund body about this and submit an application for making changes.

It is necessary to submit an application for amendments, in particular, in the following cases:.

change of surname, first name or patronymic;

obtaining a new passport or other identity document;

changes in the registration number of the taxpayer’s account card (in cases provided for by law);

changes in the address of the declared (registered) place of residence or actual place of residence;

changing the address at which benefits are provided;

change in the composition of the family whose members are eligible for benefits (birth of a child, marriage, divorce, death of a family member, termination of guardianship);

changes in personal data of family members who are eligible for benefits;

obtaining a new document confirming the right to benefits, or changing the category of the beneficiary;

occurrence of other changes in the information contained in the Register.

The Fund added that an application for such changes must be submitted within 30 calendar days from the date of their occurrence.. This can be done in the following ways:.

by mail, sending the document to the address of the Fund body;
