Vice-President of FC Kharkiv Yuriy Korotun commented on the team’s performance in the last season, as well as explaining the reasons for changing the name of the club and updating the emblems.
According to the functionary, the club did not set itself the goal of entering the European Cups, so assessing the season inclusively through this result is incorrect.
“This season we haven’t heard any news about the European Cups. There is no right for journalists to evaluate Bartulovich’s work through the prism of not being able to reach the European Cup, since they have not voiced anything. Just then we enjoyed a champagne cocktail over the Left Bank before entering the UPL. We settled in the 5th place and settled for a short time before the final, it’s a tragedy, but I can’t say that we didn’t end our lives. We are entrenched in the UPL and the season is being recorded as an asset,” adding Korotun.
Korotun also spoke about the club’s transfer plans for the summer off-season. In his words, the team is preparing to actively work on the market.
" A lot of work is currently being carried out in the sports department - both the sports director and the president take a special part in the negotiations on new regulations. Unfortunately, I can’t confirm other than one thing, because there are really no facts. And I think I can give five to one,” said Korotun.
FC Kharkiv finished last season in 5th position in the Ukrainian Championship and advanced to the semifinals of the Ukrainian Cup.
