Vice-President of FC Kharkiv Yuriy Korotun provided information about the last season for the team, as well as details of the renaming of the club, which previously played under the name Metalist 1925.
According to the functionary, it is incorrect to evaluate the work of head coach Mladen Bartulovic through the prism of not reaching the European Cup, since such a task was not set before the team.
“This season we haven’t heard any news about the European Cups. Since then we were excited about entering the UPL. We settled in fifth place and celebrated the deadline for the Ukrainian Cup final. The vice-president also explained the decision about the change of name to the club at FC Kharkiv. In other words, the club is legally deprived of this organization, and the new name has already been officially confirmed.

Korotun added that the official presentation of the new emblems will take place in Kharkov. In addition, the club plans to hold a meeting with patients after the summer training camp or closer to the International Day. There will also be a new addition to the club.
Apparently, the Kharkiv club previously presented a new emblem, Vikonana in dark chestnut colors with yellow elements, and also published a video dedicated to the rebranding.
