Head coach of Spain Luis de la Fuente shared his thoughts about those behind the team's current mentality ahead of the start of the World Football Championship 2026.

The mentor emphasizes that stable success cannot be achieved without beautiful words, but individual talent is of utmost importance to the character of the players, their discipline and team balance.

De la Fuente noted that the correct preparation of work increases the chances of victory, but the strongest teams cannot win consistently. Having also added that at the time of formation of the warehouse, the military is not just one, but several criteria, including the mentality and readiness of the soldiers to the possible collection.

“It’s impossible to have an overachieving mentality without character and results... it’s impossible to win consistently,” said the coach.

Spain will play its first match at the 2026 Emergency against the Cape Verde national team on the 15th of February at 19:00 Kyiv time.
