Lazio is considering the possibility of signing Milan forward Santiago Jimenez during the summer transfer window. The Mexican striker dropped to the list of priority targets for the Roman club after the arrival of new head coach Gennaro Gattuso.

For information from Gianluca Di Marzio, Gattuso himself contacts the requested 25-year-old footballer. The coach believes that the team needs to strengthen the center of attack, so the search for a new forward has become one of the main directions for the club in the transfer market.

Jimenez arrived in Milan in 2025, having transferred from the Dutch Fenoord for 30.2 million euros. The Rossoneri's first season was not very productive.

In the 2025/26 campaign, the Mexican played 18 matches in all tournaments, scoring one goal and providing three assists. Regardless of modest statistics, Lazio have confirmed that the forward has potential for progress and could be revealed in a new team.

It is unknown whether Milan is ready to consider the option of selling the striker after just one season at the club.
