Manchester City at the FA Cup final minimally beat Chelsea (1:0), becoming the winner of the trophy.

According to Opta, Manchester City became the first club in history to win all English Cup and League Cup matches in one season.

In the national cup, the locals beat Exeter (10:1), Salford (2:0), Newcastle (3:1), Liverpool (4:0), Southampton (2:1) and Chelsea (1:0).

Previously, Manchester City took the League Cup, beating Huddersfield (2:0), Swansea (3:1), Brentford (2:0), Newcastle (2:0, 3:1) and Arsenal (2:0).
