Fenerbahce captain and player Mert Yandash lifted his official disqualification for playing on bets after the decision of the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee. The press service of the Turkish Football Federation reports this.

Guess what, in 2025, the 31-year-old Turk was caught as part of an investigation into match-fixing and betting. In 2026, I was presented with information that the football player could have his prison term removed until 17 years.

On the cob, Yandash’s knitya was released after four thousand years of processing, but the trial process is ongoing.

" I was already beaten once with a dac-buwile. I know that my career was actually damaged. I don’t believe at all that the unjust, unlawful decision will soon be changed, but I believe that these are God-fearing people. After the arbitration is decided, I will give a more detailed explanation... I hope you will guess that there is family in me, and you will understand that you are punishing just as much as me,” Yandash wrote on social media..

Yandash has been playing for Fenerbahce since the summer of 2020. During this period, he played 149 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 25 assists. This insurance contract is valid until summer 2026.

“The loss of the right to play football for 12 months was imposed by the Disciplinary Committee of professional football by our captain Mert Hakan Jandash, and is unpleasant.

This disciplinary punishment, imposed as ordered by the criminal investigation, which has not yet been completed, can cause significant wrongful consequences for our football player and is obviously in such a way that it is not in compliance with the law and the principles of justice.

Our club, from the very beginning of the process, strives to adhere to the universal principles of law, especially the principle of the presumption of innocence. Apparently, in order to satisfy this decision, we will file the necessary appeals to the Arbitration Committee of the Tureccin Football Federation.

As the sports club of Fenerbahce, we once again openly declare that we stand on the side of our captain Mert Hakan Jandas, and we acknowledge the greatness that we will follow the process until the very end,” reads the club’s statement.

After the 31st round, Fenerbahce sits in another place near Superliza, overlooking Galatasaray this year.

It was previously reported that Fenerbahce voted for Tedesco.
