Former long-time Glory heavyweight champion from the Netherlands, Rico Verhoeven, shared his plans for how he intends to confront heavyweight hegemon Oleksandr Usyk.
" I think he understands boxing thoroughly and knows exactly what happens when you do certain things.. But I'm a kickboxer - and this will be the main difference. Especially considering the weight difference. I will be at least 20 kilograms heavier, and as soon as I hit him, he will feel it,” he said.
It is worth noting that the official weigh-in of the athletes will take place before the fight, which is scheduled for May 23 in the Egyptian city of Giza, next to the legendary pyramids.
" And this is a great opportunity for me to show that he's not so invincible.. It's just a man with two arms and two legs. I will come out and show who Rico Verhoeven is... This is 100% just the beginning of my boxing career. “I’ve come for a long time, and this fight is just the tip of the iceberg, this is just the beginning,” added Verhoeven.
Earlier, Verhoeven revealed his tactics for the fight with Usyk.
Verhoeven spoke about working with Fury Sr. on the eve of the meeting with Usyk Novyny on Telegram and WhatsApp. Subscribe to our channels https://t. me/korrespondentnet and WhatsApp.
