Retired Phil Foden looks set to continue his career at Manchester City for the near future. The Englishman is getting closer to signing a new permanent deal with the club, writes The Athletic.
It appears that the contract will expire until the summer of 2030, with the possibility of being extended for another season. Both the club and the footballer himself are subject to further negotiations, which will significantly simplify the negotiation process.
Currently, the Manchester City administration plans to first settle with the upcoming signing of Rodri, and only after that to formalize a new agreement with Foden.
Apparently, Phil Foden is a product of the Manchester City Academy and was added to the main warehouse in 2017. During the current season, he took part in 41 matches, scoring 10 goals and giving 5 assists.
