The flag-bearers of the Ukrainian national team at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Olympics in Beijing will be Olympic freestyle champion Oleksandr Abramenko and silver medalist of the Youth Olympic Games in figure skating Oleksandra Nazarova, the NOC of Ukraine reports..

The opening ceremony will begin at 14:00 Kyiv time on Friday, February 4.

Ukraine in Beijing will be represented by 45 athletes who will perform in 12 disciplines: biathlon, bobsleigh, alpine skiing, Nordic combined, cross-country skiing, luge, skeleton, snowboarding, ski jumping, figure skating, freestyle and short track.

Recall that at the Winter Olympics 2018 in Pyeongchang, the Ukrainian team managed to win one medal - freestyler Alexander Abramenko brought gold to the team in ski acrobatics.
