Russia was prolonged disqualification in the International Union of Biathlonists (IBU).
The IBU Congress voted against the complete restoration of the Russian Biathlon Union (RRF) in rights. As a result, the RRF will remain a temporary member of the IBU (20 people spoke in favor of restoration, 29 - against).
Thus, Russia will not be able to vote at the IBU Congress, nominate candidates for elections to the governing bodies of the organization and qualify for international start-ups. However, the Russian team will participate in international competitions under the same conditions: under the Russian flag and with the preservation of the quota.
Recall, the IBU punished Russia for a doping scandal. In December 2017, the Russian Federation was deprived of the World Cup in Tyumen.
Recently, the IBU opened another doping case against four Russian athletes.
