The first racket of Ukraine and already the seventh racket of the world Elina Svitolina successfully started the fight at the WTA Premier tournament in Cincinnati.
In the 1/16 finals of the competition Svitolina coped with the Russian - Svetlana Kuznetsova.
The meeting, which lasted almost three hours, ended with a score of 7: 6, 4: 6 and 6: 4 in favor of Elina.
Note that the Ukrainian interrupted the winning streak of the Russian woman, who before the game totaled as many as 5 fights.
In the next round Svitolina will meet with the winner of the pair Amanda Anisimova (USA) - Petra Martic (Croatia). The last tournament at the moment for Elina was the competition in Montreal. There she reached the semifinals.
