President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced personnel decisions, which, according to him, should help change our defense system. He announced this in his Telegram channel.

A few days ago, Zelensky held his first meeting with Mikhail Fedorov as Minister of Defense. They identified three priorities for the ministry: protecting the Ukrainian sky; strengthening coordination with the military to stop the Russian advance and resolve issues of securing the front; solving problems with TCC.

On the same day, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Fedorov as Minister of Defense, giving 277 votes for this decision. In the session hall, he stated that he took this position not as a minister who built a digital state and created “Diyu”, but as a person whose team has spent a lot of time working for the war since 2022.

Zelensky explained rotations in the security and defense structure of Ukraine. According to him, the top priority remains ending the war, but Ukraine must prepare for negative scenarios, in particular, if Russia blocks diplomatic routes. Regarding the rotations, which affected, in particular, Kirill Budanov, Mikhail Fedorov, Sergei Kislitsa and Denis Shmygal, Zelensky added that they are aimed at strengthening the negotiating team and determining the strategy for the development of events in Ukraine.
