The ban on a political party, in particular, for pro-Russian activities, should lead to the loss of mandates of all people's deputies from this party, said First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Kornienko on the air of the national marathon.

“If we are talking about the fact that colleagues lose their mandates, then there is a way out: we need to amend the Constitution. We have five or seven reasons for losing a mandate, and we just need to add the reason " Traditional mechanisms also remain - court verdicts. But in fact, it is necessary to make changes that if the party is banned for pro-Russian activities, then, accordingly, deputies from it should automatically lose their mandates,” Kornienko said..

However, you need to be careful: world democracy says that elective posts should not be infringed, people have the right to choose anyone. On the other hand, in Ukraine it is also a matter of national security..

Kornienko stressed that at present it is impossible to amend the Constitution of Ukraine due to martial law.

On May 12, the Verkhovna Rada officially liquidated the Opposition Platform – For Life faction, co-chaired by Viktor Medvedchuk and Yuriy Boyko.
