Governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev signed a decree on allocating 157 million rubles from the regional budget for additional support for dairy farming, the information policy department. The funds will be used to compensate for the costs of milk produced by the farms of the region. For a liter of dairy product Sverdlovsk agrarians will receive 3 rubles 69 kopecks, in the northern regions - 4 rubles 28 kopecks. In addition, in April livestock producers will allocate another 160 million rubles for a quality and timely sowing campaign.
"Given the 160 million rubles that will be paid in April as compensation for the production of milk, livestock keepers should receive twice as much money as usual - about six rubles a liter of the beverage produced.
These funds will serve as a safety cushion for the time of a difficult situation in the dairy market, which is currently being formed in all regions of Russia, "said the Minister of Agroindustrial Complex and Food of the Sverdlovsk Region Dmitry Degtyarev.
We are talking about the restrictions of agricultural producers in accepting milk in excess of the volumes established by contracts from milk processing enterprises of the Russian Federation. They argued their actions with excess raw materials and overstocked products because of the decrease in orders from retail chains. In this regard, the decline in procurement prices for milk as raw materials began. All this happened in January-February 2018.
