The governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev played ice hockey on a new arena in Kamensk-Uralsky. He took part in the match between the teams of the administration of the Kamensk-Urals Metallurg and the government of the Sverdlovsk region Titan. This was reported in the DIP.
The rivalry ended with a score of 3: 2 in favor of the government team.
"The ice is good, the sides too. This is a big deal - the first artificial ice in Kamensk-Urals. Today, with our example, we have shown that sports can be practiced at any age. I'm sure that a lot of hockey players and figure skaters will come here, "said after the match Evgeny Kuyvashev.
After the adults on the ice came the city's children's teams for the tournament, timed to the Day of Defender of the Fatherland. Evgeny Kuyvashev symbolically tossed the puck.
The new arena in Kamensk-Uralsky was built on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation. In 2014, the mother of three children Tatiana Palkina wrote a letter to Vladimir Putin, where she complained about the absence in the city of a modern covered ice rink. The newly opened ice arena for 247 million rubles - a two-story building with an area of ??almost 4,000 "squares" with an ice hall and stands for 250 spectators. On the indoor skating rink with artificial ice, there will be training sessions and competitions in hockey, figure skating and mass skating. The sports center also includes a hall for general physical training and a choreographic room.
"This year the fifth open court was built in the city, and now a closed arena is being launched, which will enable future sportsmen to practice their favorite sport all year round," said the head of Kamensk-Uralsky Aleksey Shmykov.
The names for the new complex are offered by the townspeople. The most popular option was "Kamensk-Arena".
Today in Kamensk-Uralsky opened "Kamensk-Arena" - a new modern indoor ice rink. In 2014, the city's residents appealed to the president of the country with a request for the creation of such a sports facility. Several years passed the construction, and today the complex is ready for 100%. This is a large two-story building where young hockey players and figure skaters, pupils of children's sports schools. At other times, "Kamensk-Arena" will be able to visit all comers. Ice will be here all year round. There is everything for comfortable sports.
This is really a great event for the sports life of the third largest city in the Sverdlovsk region. At the opening, the regional government team played with the administration team and civil servants of Kamensk-Uralsky. The match was not easy, our team won 3: 2.
