The polling stations of the Sverdlovsk region will be guarded by 14,000 policemen

Members of the anti-terrorist commission on February 21 discussed the security of Sverdlovsk electorate in the polling stations on March 18, 2018. The meeting was held by Yevgeny Kuyvashev, according to the information policy department of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region.

"We must ensure full readiness to prevent any actions to destabilize the situation," the governor said, stressing that the premises of precinct election commissions should be equipped with stationary metal detectors and technical control devices.



According to Mikhail Borodin, the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region, the whole garrison of the Interior Ministry bodies and the forces of Rosgvardia's units will be involved in ensuring public order on the voting day.

"To protect the polling stations will attract more than 14 thousand police officers. The outfits of the complex police forces, including the road patrol service, will be approached to places of mass stay of people, "said Mikhail Borodin.
