Ukraine must itself propose to the West a plan for settling the conflict in the Donbass.

This opinion was expressed in the commentary to the "Observer" by the diplomat, the head of the board of the State Enterprise "European Telecommunications of Ukraine" Vadim Trykhan.

"The White House has not yet decided on the plan of its actions. Obviously, Washington forms the format of relations in the triangle Ukraine-Russia-USA on the march. There is no ready-made plan in their heads. Worse still, Ukraine has no such plan. Plan A - Minsk agreements - failed. The agreements fulfilled their role - they did not allow a large-scale war, but they are not able to resolve the conflict. Plan B - war - on the table, "- said Trukhan.

According to him, at any time, Russia can strengthen its grouping and launch more intensive military actions.

"So Ukraine needs a plan. In the world. Kiev must offer the West an alternative concept of conflict settlement that would provide for a short-term stoppage of hostilities and the return of the Donbass, and in the medium term - a struggle for the return of the Crimea, "the diplomat summed up..

As reported by the "Observer", a telephone conversation was announced in the "Norman" format.
