New labor rules are being prepared in Ukraine - the government has already approved the draft Labor Code and is launching digital mechanisms, in particular the possibility of online termination of employment contracts. It is noted that the goal of such decisions is to make the labor market more flexible, modern and convenient for both workers and businesses.

This is stated in the draft of the new Labor Code, which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. It is he who must lay down new “rules of the game” - more flexible, digital and focused on the real needs of the economy. The Ukrainian labor market today faces several serious challenges at once:.

The government recognizes that the old model no longer works, so a complete restructuring of the employment system is needed - from training to employment and business support. It is noted that the draft of the new Labor Code should become the basis of the reform. His main idea is to create a modern labor relations model that takes into account:.

One of the most practical innovations is the ability to terminate an employment contract even without contacting the employer. We are talking about cases when the employer is located in temporarily occupied territory, the enterprise is located in a war zone, or communication with the employer is lost.

In such situations, the employee will be able to submit an application online, legally end the employment relationship and avoid being in limbo..

They plan to implement the mechanism through digital services, in particular Diyu, which further simplifies the procedure. In addition to changes in legislation, the government is launching a number of practical initiatives:.

The next stage is consideration of the new Labor Code in parliament and the gradual implementation of the adopted decisions. The government has already announced that all changes will be implemented in stages, with explanations for citizens and businesses.
