Ukrzaliznytsia announced an increase in the fare on the Kyiv City Express ring train. From July 22, the price of a single ticket at the box office will increase to 37 hryvnia.
The company said that it is bringing the cost of a single trip to Kyiv City Express in line with the tariffs for travel on public transport in Kyiv. At the same time, they added that they are preparing a system of travel passes for passengers who regularly use the city train..
“Maintenance and repair of trains, ensuring their operation and paying for electricity are becoming increasingly expensive. Revenue from ticket sales is no longer enough to cover these costs,” the company explained its decision.
They also complained that from 2021 Kyiv will not compensate for the costs of transporting beneficiaries.
