The defense industry in Ukraine is growing faster than the amount of available funding. Private manufacturers are capable of producing significantly more weapons than the state can purchase today. NAUDI member company, the largest private arms manufacturer Ukrainian Armored Vehicles, demonstrates how the business is scaling despite these challenges: annually delivering more than a thousand mortars to the Armed Forces, developing a line of armored vehicles and entering new technological segments.
The following is the text in the original language. Member of the NAUDI Presidium and General Director of the company Vladislav Belbas indicates that 2025 will be a turning point for the entire sector:.
“Why is it that the industry in the region has moved into a mode where the capacity of production significantly outweighs the capacity of financing... In 2025, all production plants have scaled up and they are guessing the cost, the fragments of the internal budget are not.
2025 became the most profitable year for the company due to the number of new products. " Currently, the company’s growth potential is driven by the lack of funding for purchases.
" “Before the mortars – here on the same level:
we are delivering over a thousand mortars to the rivers to the Armored Forces... We could have prepared much more, otherwise there might be a financial failure,” Belbas said.
At the same time, “Ukrainian armored vehicles” are looking forward and preparing for further expansion:.
" Mozhlivo, rockets, mozhlivo, drones. It’s so lethal... We are launching a number of projects with foreign orders, it’s likely that we will become aware of them before the end. Dali - scaling, scaling, scaling"
