On November 13, Ukraine will receive a new tranche of direct budget assistance from the European Union (EU) in the amount of about 6 billion euros. We are talking about 4.1 billion euros under the ERA loans program (income from frozen assets of the Russian Federation) and 1.9 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility. This was announced by the President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Budget Committee Roksolana Pidlasa.

At the same time, in Brussels, as Pidlasa emphasized, they are discussing the conditions for continuing and strengthening reforms in Ukraine, the implementation of which will be necessary to receive funds.
“The need for new assistance from the EU will arise at the end of the first quarter of 2026, primarily to finance non-military expenses. But we also insist on the possibility of using a “reparation loan” for defense needs through the budget (including for payments to the military),” added Pidlasa.
