Bavaria (a federal state within Germany) advocated restricting entry for Ukrainian refugees. The Minister-President of Bavaria said that too many Ukrainian men came to Germany.

Minister-President of Bavaria Markus Soeder stated this in an interview with Bi? According to him, after Ukraine allowed men under the age of 22 to cross borders, the number of such refugees in Germany increased from 100 to 1000 in a week.

" Therefore, the EU and Berlin must influence Ukraine to change its relaxed exit rules. It won’t help anyone if more and more young men from Ukraine come to Germany instead of defending their homeland,” he said. He also announced support for Ukraine: weapons, humanitarian aid, thunder. However, he noted that Ukrainian men should stay at home and defend their country, and not flee to Germany.

" But it is also important for us that Ukrainian soldiers remained to defend their country. If this cannot be done voluntarily, then the so-called Mass Influx Directive should be limited at EU level,"

The publication recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale war, 1.2 million Ukrainians have come to Germany. More than half a million of them are considered able to work, but only about half have found work. However, all refugees from Ukraine receive immediate civil assistance - unlike asylum seekers from other countries.
