He noted that success in the implementation of the agreement will depend on the desire of the United States of America. The parties published a document on minerals and the creation of a joint investment fund. It has yet to be ratified by the Verkhovna Rada, and it concerns the deposits of 57 minerals. It also prescribes the provision on US military assistance - it can become an American contribution to the fund.

The trade representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka also stated that the agreement on minerals clearly notes that Ukraine retains its sovereignty over resources, and the Government of Ukraine is made exclusively by the extraction decisions.
