The average purchase price of milk for processing plants is about 36 cents per liter. This is almost equal to the average European prices. At the same time, the price of processed milk on supermarket shelves in Ukraine is much lower than in the EU.

The general trend is that prices should now be declining, because milk yields increase during this period and the population offers more milk, but prices are still at the level of December. And some producers are even talking about increasing the purchase price of milk.. Olena Zhupinas, Project Manager of the Dairy Producers Association (AVM), notes that the decline in exports and the increase in imports of finished dairy products to Ukraine is a dangerous trend that will also affect milk producers.
