Pensions expert Sergei Korobkin explained the difference between the mechanism for recalculating pensions for working pensioners and those who retired, writes "

He recalled that the formula for calculating the basic amount of the old-age pension for both categories of pensioners remains unchanged.. That is, it is the same in both cases..

The difference in calculating the pension of working and non-working older people depends on other parameters. For some people, the size of the minimum pension, as well as allowances for overtime work, is tied to the living wage. When the cost of living is increased, the part of the pension that depends on it is automatically recalculated for non-working people.. In this case, pensions for working pensioners are not recalculated.. When a person leaves, the pension is recalculated taking into account the more current subsistence level in force at the time of dismissal. The same mechanism applies to those whose minimum retirement pension depends on the size of the minimum wage in the country..

“The situation is similar with the new surcharges, which depend on the length of service and age.. For clarity, we recall that from December 1, for persons under 70 years of age with an experience of 30 years for women and 35 years for men, the total pension with all supplements cannot be lower than 2,500 hryvnia.. Those who had lower pensions before December should have been raised to the specified amount. But this applies only to non-working citizens.. For workers, the previous sizes remained. They can be reviewed only in case of dismissal,” the expert explained..

He also recalled that today the difference in the size of pensions of working and non-working pensioners is insignificant..

If a person has the strength and ability to work, then it is better to work. More often, dismissal will not be able to radically affect the size of the pension.. But still, it is important to remember that when applying for a job, you must immediately notify the Pension Fund about this.. Otherwise, there will be an overpayment of the pension, which will then begin to be calculated.

Recall in what cases they can take part of the pension and how to prevent it.
