The National Agency for the Detection, Search and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) has completed preparations for the launch of the Register of Seized Assets. This was stated by the head of ARMA Dmitry Zhoravovich, the press service of the agency reports..

He noted that the register remains closed to the public during martial law, but this does not affect its functioning, and law enforcement agencies have access to it..

According to him, ARMA will support the bill on opening the Register to the public, and also sent an official appeal to the government on the possibility of resuming access. However, as he added, the registry of seized assets is a complex information system that must be integrated with other registries and databases, including the registry of court decisions, the registry of enforcement proceedings and the information system of the Office of the Attorney General.

“In other words, the Register consistently and from different sources displays information from the fact of seizure of an asset to the measures and results of its management. Therefore, the Register is intended, first of all, to systematize, synchronize and thereby make the work of all departments, one way or another involved in making decisions on seized assets, more efficient,” the head of ARMA believes..

In general, as of today, the responsible structural subdivision of ARMA has made more than 51 thousand entries on seized assets in the Register.
