The Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reminded who can receive compensation from the state for caring for people in need.

Care can be set for:.

persons with a disability of group I;

elderly people with cognitive impairments;

terminally ill who cannot take care of themselves;

children with disabilities;

children who have serious illnesses.

Adult capable family members can claim care allowance under the following conditions:.

if they live together with a person in need of care and have a common household;

provide care on a non-professional basis without conducting entrepreneurial activities;

have an average monthly income less than the subsistence minimum (from 2023 - up to UAH 2589).

Cohabitation of persons is confirmed by registration or verification by special services.

administrative service centers;

bodies of social protection of the population;

executive bodies of rural, settlement, city councils.

The decision on the appointment of compensation is made within 10 days from the date of application.
