The government of Ukraine demanded that the leadership of the largest banks in Europe and the United States stop cooperation with Russia in the field of oil trade. Oleg Ustenko, adviser to the President of Ukraine, sent a letter about this to the American JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, British HSBC and French Credit Agricole, The Financial Times reports..

By lending money to companies that supply Russian oil, banks are “prolonging the war,” Ustenko explains..
