The largest Turkish air carrier Turkish Airlines and the European aircraft construction concern Airbus have signed a preliminary agreement on the delivery of 20 long-haul aircraft A350 XWB with an option for another 5 aircraft. This was reported in the airline, reports NV. "Turkish Airlines makes flights to more destinations than any other airline in the world, and with the help of the new A350 XWB aircraft we will be able to further expand our international route network. This agreement fixes our readiness for further negotiations and the completion of the purchase of aircraft from Airbus, "said the head of the board and the executive committee of Ilker Aiji. Also, the company noted that this order of aircraft will have a positive impact on Turkish manufacturers of equipment and spare parts cooperating with Airbus. Aircraft A350 XWB is a new family of long-haul wide-body aircraft of medium size.

Application of the latest technologies allows achieving a high level of operational efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and emissions by 25%, and significantly reducing maintenance costs. Turkish Airlines - Turkey's largest carrier, based in Istanbul. The number of destinations to which the airline operates has reached 300, of which 49 are domestic flights and 251 international flights to 120 countries. The airline's fleet consists of 329 aircraft, of which 223 are narrow-bodied, 90 wide-body and 16 cargo sides.
