The corresponding law was adopted on November 24, 2017. According to the Polish edition of Business Insider, at the first stage from March 1, 2018 the stores will work on the first and last Sunday of the month, and from 2020, an almost complete ban on trade on Sundays is introduced.

At the same time, according to the adopted law, two Sundays before Christmas and one Sunday before Easter, trade will be carried out without restrictions.

The ban on trade will not apply to filling stations and railway stations.

In addition, trade will be allowed online shopping.

The list of subjects where trade is still possible includes: pharmacies, flower shops, gift shops, kiosks, bakeries and confectionery shops. It is also forbidden to trade in the wholesale markets of agri-food products.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the Polish Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy approved a bill limiting work on Sundays back in October. Then the document was translated into the second reading.
