The introduction of GOST on certain types of cooked sausages did not save consumers from poor-quality products. The shelves of shops are still broken from products, the recipe of which at times does not at all imply meat.
A check conducted by the Roskontrol consumer union in August 2017. , showed that in stores for manufacturers of sausage products GOSTs do not exert any influence. Since July 1 of this year, the new GOST 33673-2015 entered into force. He regulates some types of boiled sausages. In particular, only those products that correspond to a strictly verified recipe can be called "Doctoral", "Amateur", "Russian". In all other cases, the trade name must also be different.
Meanwhile, many producers produce sausages according to their own standards, and they write, for example, "Doktorskaya" in large letters, and somewhere from the bottom, finely add "premium", "special", "traditional". It turns out legally another name. But in fact, this is deception of buyers and unfair competition, explained Izvestiya deputy director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Meat Industry. Gorbatova Anastasia Semenova.
"For cooked sausages GOST is a classic. This is a guarantee that the main raw material in the recipe is pork, beef, milk and eggs, "the expert points out.. Manufacturers also come up with their own recipes, raw materials for which are cheaper, and the quality is lower. For example, in the "Doktorskoy" GOST should be at least 12% protein. And some introduce instead a protein stabilizer - a product of processing bones and skins, which carries no nutritional value.
During the inspection of "Roscontrol" there were samples in which there was no obligatory beef for boiled sausages, but there were potato starch, wheat flour, soybean.
Such an article does not poison you, but you can easily get allergies if you believe the name and do not read carefully the list of ingredients indicated on the label. But in fact initially the "Doctoral" was developed taking into account the needs of people with weakened health and children from 5 years.
There is only one way out for the consumer: you want proven quality - see if the sausage is produced according to GOST or according to any specifications, service stations, etc.. Just a familiar name does not guarantee anything.
