Filament lamps with a power of more than 50 watts will soon be banned. This issue is already in the workings of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, said on Wednesday, September 6, Deputy Heads of departments Anton Inyutsyn.
According to the official, the Ministry of Energy has every reason to prohibit the public from using incandescent bulbs with a power of 50 W. Legislative base for this is available. The experience of introducing such restrictions is also. A few years ago, Russia already had a ban on the production and sale of incandescent lamps with a power of 100 watts, recalled Inyutsin. The decision was recognized as correct.
Citizens are also accustomed to: over the past 5 years, the market share, in particular LED lamps, has grown from 2% to 28%, RIA Novosti quoted the deputy minister. The situation would be even better if energy-saving lamps were cheaper.
In Russia, while the average price per piece is $ 3.5, whereas, for example, in India it is $ 1.5-2.
Despite this, the agency is determined to deprive the Russians of the choice which lighting devices to buy. Lamps incandescent "eat" too much energy. At present, the lion's share of electricity - 13% per year - goes specifically to lighting. In the near future, the Ministry of Energy will collect the final data, submit calculations to the government and, most likely, the ban will be approved.
