In response to US actions against Iran, the Iranian parliament today, August 13, voted for the decision on the missile program.

A total of 247 members of parliament attended the meeting.

Of which 240 voted "for" the increase in costs for the missile program, one abstained.

The draft law states that the increase in funding was made "with the aim of strengthening the defensive capabilities of the country".

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the United States imposed new sanctions against Iran. The US authorities imposed new restrictions against 18 individuals and legal entities from Iran. In particular, these people are accused of a program of ballistic missiles and other illegal activities.
